WELCOME TO BIG SKY
A TOWN BUILT ON HISTORY
A beautiful place such as Big Sky, Montana, didn't come from the easiest of beginnings. However, I'm sure the collective census will agree that everyone wants to make sure their beloved town stays beautiful. Today, that still rings true and would make good ol' Clovis Deveraux proud to see what it has become since the town created where he served as the first mayor of Big Sky! And no matter where you look, you can see the beauty in the town. From the view of the mountains to every store on Main Street, there's always something to see. If you ask me, someone who was born and raised in Big Sky, I'm always seeing something different even after all these years!
Big Sky was founded in 1893 and has seen its fair share of ups and downs, but mostly the city has done nothing but grow into what it is today: 131 years later. Visitors to Big Sky can enjoy the perks of living in a friendly place with access to a top-notch ski resort for their recreational enjoyment. There are plenty of places to shop and eat as well as an amazing theater! There's truly something to always peak your interest while you visit! Locals have the added bonus of enjoying exceptional schools for their children in Kindergarten through 12th grade! Once they're done with their first 12 years of school, they can move on to the award-winning Big Sky University to further their education while staying close to home!
No matter what it is though, Big Sky has it all that one would need or even possibly want! I know that I don't plan on leaving this beautiful place. As I was born and raised here, I aspire to also make sure my children and their children are also born and raised right here in this beautiful piece of Montana!

History
I was born to two wealthy people that married for money instead of love. Over time they grew to love one another, and an heir to the family fortune was born. That would be me, Rowdy Mitchell Creed. One thing my parents always agreed on was me, and they loved me unconditionally. I was what showed them what true love was. My uncle Rollie hated me though. If no heirs had been born he would have inherited everything. He was a bachelor and planned to stay that way. No one would have him anyhow.
I had a nanny, but it was my parents that were more one on one with me choosing to do so. She was more or less a hired babysitter to take care of me when my parents went out to functions. My father was part of the Russian Mob. His father had been second in command here in America. My parents were older when they had me. They'd almost given up home on having a child as they were in their forties. My mother called me her miracle baby. Even if they were out late they'd wake up when they got home to give me hugs and kisses and she would sing me an Irish lullaby that her Irish grandmother used to sing to her. I would fall asleep in my mother's arms with my father sitting on the other side holding my hand.
When I turned six was when the nightmare began. My parents had gone out that night, but they never came back home. I was told that they had been killed in a car accident. I didn't find out till I was older that they had been shot and killed as they were leaving the function they had gone to. My Uncle Rollie had been the one to tell me and I could swear that he had been happy about it. I learned not to say anything to him because if he didn't like what I had said he would backhand me. If I did anything he didn't like I would get spankings and other beatings. All I wanted was my parents, and I didn't understand why they didn't come home. To hide my bruises to the outside world he kept me home and had me homeschooled.
I became withdrawn and would hide from my uncle when he would be home. He was spending my parents money left and right as if it were nothing. Money that was supposed to be mine one day. He had a garage full of exotic cars. There were women in and out of his room all the time. This went on for a couple of years. It was around my eighth birthday when the FBI raided the house arresting my uncle after finding out the truth that he had been behind the murders of my parents. One of the staff had overheard him bragging and had turned him in for that and how I was being treated. I cowered in the corner of my room rocking back and forth as I heard his ranting and yelling from downstairs and what sounded like a battle going on. Finally there was silence. I didn't dare move, afraid of getting into trouble if I did. I forgot to breathe as my door opened, and I heard footsteps coming in. I peeked up through my hair that had gotten too long over time. The man looked familiar, but I wasn't sure who he was.
The man who stood above me crouched down beside me and told me everything was going to be alright now. I was going home with him. I was safe now, and no one was going to hurt me again. That man was Sean Forrester. A man my father had called his friend. As I looked up at him I remembered him finally and put the voice with his face. I told him I just wanted my mommy and daddy, and started to cry. He pulled me into his arms even as I stiffened and just held me. After a bit he explained to me that they were in heaven. That I would see them again one day after I was old and gray. I fell asleep in his arms.
When I woke up I was in a strange room, and I was scared till I remembered what had happened. I laid there for a little while looking around the room. I sat up as I caught sight of pictures. Pictures of my parents. Me with my parents. I sat there and cried for a while. When my uncle had taken over the house he'd destroyed all the pictures of my parents so I had almost forgotten what they looked like. I smiled as my mother looked like she waved at me from the photo through my tears. I finally got out of bed and discovered there was a bathroom to the side in my room. I went and used it, before noticing some clothes sitting on a chair when I came back out. I put them on and was surprised that they fit. The clothes I had been wearing were baggy and old threads. It was something the staff had found for me to wear when I had grown out of my last clothes. Once I was dressed I wasn't sure what to do. If I should leave my room or not. If I was at home I'd get into trouble for leaving my room. I didn't dare get caught out in the open.
Finally I got up and made my way slowly over to the door. Taking a deep breath I opened the door just slightly and peeked out. Not seeing anyone I opened it farther and peered out looking around the side of the door ready to jump back if anyone came at me. The hallway was deserted. I took another deep breath and stepped out of the room wondering which way to go. Finally I just started walking. Whose ever, house this was, it was big. As I was about to the corner a boy my age came running around the corner laughing and plowed right into me taking us both down. I grunted as did he. Another boy came running around the corner and had to jump over us before he tripped over us and came down on us. I heard him laughing as I looked up and saw him upside down over us as I laid there on the floor. He helped the other boy up and they both held out a hand to me and helped me up when I let them. They both apologized, and asked if I wanted to play with them. My stomach growled about then alerting us all that I was hungry. They told me I better eat before I did anything, and they showed me the way to the dining room. Sean Forrester who had come and gotten me was sitting at the head of the table. There were a few other men with him and some women. I didn't know any of them.
One of the women got up with a smile and greeted me by name telling me her name was Audra Forrester and that she was Sean’s wife. She helped me get my plate and sat at the table as the other's greeted me and introduced themselves to me. I found out the boy who had run into me was Cain Forrester and the other one was his older brother Clancy. A little girl piped up saying her name was Clary. She was Clancy and Cain’s little sister. I kept quiet just nodding at them when they were introduced. I didn't want to get into trouble. I ate my breakfast stiffly aware of everything going on in the room ready to run at the slightest movement. Sean told me that Audra would take me into Big Sky to get new clothes and whatever else that I needed. That if I wanted something or needed anything to speak up. I didn't know what to think of that after the last two years. The only thing I could think of to say was thank you for the pictures. Sean had smiled at me and told me I was welcome.
Over time I grew comfortable with the Forrester's and the Knights who were always around. They were patient with me and helped me through my nightmares and day terrors. They assured me that my uncle was behind bars and that he was going to stay that way. I didn't have to worry about him. When months and then years went by I believed them. That they wanted me to be safe and comfortable. I appreciated it, but I still didn't talk that much unless I had to. I definitely didn't open up to anyone.
Cain always made sure to include me in anything and everything. His best friend Ransym Knight joined in on that. Clancy and his best friend Clyde were usually around too. All of them made sure that I wasn’t left out of anything and that I was alright. It took a while, but they could get me talking and actually having fun. Going to school for the first time was hard, and I got picked on, but Cain and Ransym were right there putting a stop to it. Somehow they gained my trust and friendship, becoming my best friends.
Shortly after they took me in, Cain gave me a dirt bike like the other kids had, and he and Gregory Knight gave me lessons. I was way behind the others, never having anything to do with bikes before. With Cain’s and Ransym’s help I was getting it in no time at all though. I was ten though before they thought I was ready to start competing in Motocross. When I did it took me quite a while, before I ever won one. That was a rush that I had never felt before, and Cain and Ransym threw me a party that night celebrating my win.
When we got to junior high Cain and Ransym dragged me right along with them trying out for all the sports we could. I already knew how to ski and snowboard thanks to Cain’s dad running the ski resort where we lived. Sean and Audra had both given me lessons in skiing. Cain and Ransym had got me into snowboarding. Turns out I loved most of the sports we tried out for.
Once we got into high school I kept playing football with them, and was remarkable on the basketball court. I could hit three pointers from any position. I was still doing Motocross with the guys and having the time of my life. I was on the snowboarding team too, but I didn’t have a dream of the Olympics. I just did it for the love of the sport.
Freshman year was the year I noticed Aerial Ferraro. I asked her to Homecoming, and we hit it off right away. We started to date after that. We’d have group dates with Cain and Ransym with their girls, but it always seemed to make Aerial uncomfortable. Terra and Julieanne were cheerleaders and liked to have fun while Aerial was more down to earth than they were. Aerial would even come to all our sporting events, and Motocross. She got along great with Cain and Ransym joking around with them even.
When I turned eighteen I prospected the Wild Wolves with Cain and Ransym. Nathan Whitney was my sponsor. His daughter Olivia, who was three years younger than us, hung out with us once in a while. Prospect duties were hard to juggle with everything else that was going on, but I handled it. Between sports and keeping dates with Aerial.
One problem I had was her brothers and the Summers boys. They'd harass me every chance that they got. Even beat me up a few times when Cain and Ransym weren’t around. Didn’t change how I felt about Aerial though, and I kept dating her. It was right after graduation that I picked her up for a date, and she was crying. I finally got it out of her what was wrong and she told me that her father was making her marry Maxim Summers, who had been in our class. That was the night she told me the truth about her family. Which totally blew my mind. She made me promise not to tell anyone about her family. She said she shouldn’t even have told me. That my life could be in danger for telling me everything.
A few days after that I ran to the mall to pick out a gift for a friend's birthday. When I came out two men in black suits were by my Harley waiting for me. They told me that Sasha Ferraro was requesting my presence. Against my better judgment I went with them. I knew it was Aerial’s father, and that it wasn’t really a request for my presence. When I came face to face with him a short time later he was more than a formidable presence. I took a deep breath holding my ground.
I was surprised at his questions though. Asking me who my parents were, and my uncle. I was seated in a chair, but he was pacing the floor. He asked me if I loved his daughter, and I said yes. More than anything. He kept pacing, and said our families would be a good match. In the next hour I learned more about my family origins than I wished to know. My grandparents were alive and well in Russia and one of the leading mob families. I was invited to join the families there and into the business, but I just shook my head no. I wanted no part of that. When they let me go I practically ran to my Harley and headed home.
I went straight to Sean and questioned him about my parents. He sighed and we talked through the night. He knew my parents had been part of the mob, but my father had been working his way out of it wanting no part of it anymore. My uncle Rollo had found out, and he knew that he wouldn’t ever be totally out of it. He wanted the power, and my father was in the way as well as me. So he’d killed my parents in cold blood as they left the venue they were at that night. Even though it was in the will that Sean and Audra were to raise me if anything happened to them my uncle kept me in his clutches making my life a nightmare till Sean had proof that my uncle had killed my parents. My grandparents knew of me, he told me, but they’d wanted nothing to do with me.
I ended up marrying my high school sweetheart Aerial. She told her family that they were not going to be a part of our lives and that she wanted no part of the mob life. We were happy especially when our children were born. I couldn't have been happier when our eldest Daxton was born. I showed off my first born son proud of him already. Then three years later the twins Aramis and Athena were born. My first little girl who had me wrapped around her finger since I was born. Then came Aria six years later and three years later our baby Dashell. Our children grew up not knowing anything about the Russian mob or Aerials family. Aerial changed after having Dashell though. At first I thought she was just depressed, but then we started getting into fights and it was messing with the kids too.
This went on for a couple of years till I walked in on her having sex in our bed with the plumber. I had a bonfire with our bed that night. Who else she had been with I had no idea. I kicked her and the plumber out of the house then and there not listening to her excuses. I filed for divorce and got custody of the kids. At first she tried to fight for them, but then something else caught her eye, and she was off on another adventure so I got full custody of them. Once in a while I’ll hook up with Olivia Whitney, but we're just friends and giving one another comfort. It’s been five years since Aerial and I divorced, and I’m still trying to keep my head above water. I miss her, hate her, and love her all at the same time. It’s hard to wrap my head around. I have Cain and Ransym to pull me out of my thoughts though, and bring me back to reality.
We lost Sean and Audra shortly after I caught my wife with another man. It was like losing my parents all over again. They may have been Cain's parents, but they took me in as a lost and scared eight year old and gave me the love and care that I needed. They became the parents I had lost, but they never let me forget my own parents. Keeping them alive in my memory with the stories they would tell. My parents had been older than them, but they had gotten along great and hung out together a lot. Shortly after they had taken me in they showed me pictures of me and Cain playing together along with Ransym when we had been toddlers. With everything that had happened to me I'd totally blocked that out, but the pictures brought it back to me.

Rayne sat away from the others somewhat. As it seemed like everyone was paired off but for him. Or they were with their friends. They’d been back from Sturgis for only a few days, and his dad, Rowdy, and Cain were throwing a bash at their place to try and take off some of the stress from what the trip had been. The Oklahoma boys and his dad, and Cain were taking turns getting up on the stage and singing. Oh and even Clyde had gotten up and sang. Their kids called out songs for them to sing, and they’d pick one from one of them. Of course his dad hadn’t asked him. It was mainly his baby brothers and once in a while Rafe or Ryder would yell out one.
Sturgis hadn’t really been any fun and he and his brothers had never gotten that tattoo that he designed. With all hell breaking loose everyone was on high alert the next week so his father and brothers had forgotten about it. He’d slept off and on that next week after what had happened to him. At least the stitches had gotten taken out finally so he didn’t have that discomfort. Though it still aches some, and Stephanie had said it probably would for some time as hard as he had been hit. It itched and bothered him, but he refrained from messing with it not wanting to get it infected as it was healing. The bruises were still there, but not as bad as they had been.
His dad’s attention today was either on Rosanna or his baby brothers most of the time. Feeling tired and left out he got up to head inside to his room. Rafe and Ryder’s attention was on their new found girlfriends. His gaze fell on Athena then who was talking to some of the other kids in the Jr Club, and there were a couple of guys that she was laughing and having fun with. He felt a pang in his heart, and weaved in and out of people to head inside. A stray tear ran down his cheek as he got inside, and he quickly brushed it away. He hissed in his breath at the pain when he had forgotten a moment about his wound. With a deep breath he headed up the stairs when he came up on them.
It wasn’t that much of a walk down the hallway to his room. The pounding of the music and the roar of the crowd outside was inside the house too, and it was giving him a headache. So all he wanted to do was lay down and take a nap. Opening his door a sound caught his attention. Looking up he gasped as there were a couple of guys in the room with their girls having fun on his bed as well as Simon’s bed. He gaped in shock for a few moments, before turning bright red not knowing what to do. He jumped when one of them yelled at him to get out. Quickly he ducked out his head pounding even more and realized then that he wasn’t alone upstairs as he saw others in the hallways too.
Looking up and down the hallways he noticed people going in and out of the theater rooms too. Walking down to his dad’s room he thought he might find some relief in there, but his dad must have locked his door. He tried Rowdy’s and Cain’s finding both of them locked. There was nowhere to go he realized, and he headed back down stairs trying not to cry. That wouldn’t look good in front of the sons around. There was a lot that he had no idea who they were. Including the ones that had been in his room having fun. Feeling lost and really left out he turned at the stairs and a drunk son knocked into him knocking him down. He saw stars when his head hit the corner of a baseboard. Laughter was heard, and then they ignored him. Sitting up he held his hand to his head, and when he pulled away there was blood on his head.
He cringed as his head was killing him even more now. Pulling himself up he hears something crash and shatter somewhere. His vision was a little blurry now, and he felt the blood trickling down his forehead. There had to be somewhere that he could go, and he thought of the garage. Making his way down that way he put the code into the door knowing it had been locked up for the party. His dad was taking any chances with his panhead with someone messing with it. Once the door shut behind him the sound was suddenly gone as the garage seemed to be soundproof. His ears were ringing though from the never ending sound from before.
With an unsteady breath he made his way over to his bike not even fighting the tears now. Sitting on it he laid his head down against the cool gas tank and the sobs came unable to stop them. He wasn’t feeling good at all, and when he lifted his head a while later there was a lot of blood on his bike. Had to be from where he had hit his head. A ride might help him feel better was his thoughts, and he got off pushing his bike out a side door, and around some bikes getting on his bike after making sure the garage was locked back up. If it wasn’t his dad, Rowdy, and Cain not to mention the others with bikes in there would kill him.
Starting his bike he rode down the driveway with the guards not even looking twice at him as there were sons and jr club members coming right and left. Tears were still streaming down his cheeks and there was still blood trickling down so his vision was still a bit blurred. Right now he didn’t care, he just had to get away, and hopefully clear his head. His dad and brothers as well as the others would probably never even notice he was gone. They were having too much fun. A while later he realized that the ride wasn’t helping, and he stopped not even knowing where he was. He hadn’t been this way yet. Only the other direction into town. The throbbing in his head was even worse, and all he wanted was his dad right now.
Turning his bike around he tried to wipe the tears away and the blood, but it wasn’t helping much. With a deep breath he headed back. With his vision obscured, he didn’t see the cloud of dust coming down a dirt road not far away. When he turned on the next road thinking he was going in the right direction the car came out of nowhere. Unable to stop he ran right into it, and he was suddenly flying through the air. The impact of hitting the road knocked him out.
